Apiary - Ghenos Games Board Games

In the absence of humans, who have mysteriously vanished, Earth is now inhabited by the Mellifera, an evolved species of bee.

The Mellifera have grown in size and have become increasingly intelligent, creating a highly developed society and making scientific breakthroughs, including space travel. But their lives are still short, and to overcome this obstacle, they must hibernate for most of the year.

In Apiary, each player controls one of 20 different available factions. Your faction begins the game with limited means: one hive, some resources, and a few worker bees.

On your turn, you must choose between:

– Placing workers on the board and performing that action: exploring the galaxy, improving the hive, growing, advancing in research, and obtaining resources and scoring bonuses. If you place a worker with strength 4, you also unlock a specific benefit.

– Recalling your workers and collecting income.

Watch out for your workers: they only have a few actions available before they must hibernate. Will you thrive or just survive?

The game ends when all of the Hibernation Board sectors, based on the number of players, are filled with Hibernation tokens or when a player places their seventh Hibernation token.

The final score is calculated by adding the points accumulated during the game to those derived from end-game scoring options.

The player with the most points wins the game.
