Provided you have a few million yen for his fee and few moral scruples. In 1973, drawing on his medical education, Osamu Tezuka created one of his most iconic characters: Black Jack, an unlicensed surgeon ready to accept any request, no matter how illegal or impossible. The value of a life, corruption in the world of medicine, a mother's love, and non-human patients: once again, Black Jack faces situations in which, in addition to his extraordinary skill with a scalpel, he will have to show some (very well-hidden) empathy. Especially when he finds himself helping "opponents" like the acupuncturist Biwamaru and Kiriko, the champion of euthanasia.
