For Ichi Isahaya, being a woman is a daily struggle: misogyny, machismo, and sexual harassment at work are the order of the day. One day, Makuhito Masaki, an old classmate, bursts into Ichi's daily life, bringing back old high school memories and presenting himself as the man of her life, as decreed by a bizarre high school ceremony called "Gene Bride." As the past resurfaces, Ichi will have to face the present, for better... or for worse.
