to the West” and now world-famous thanks to numerous successful adaptations, is translated
into comics for the first time by the greatest mangaka of all time, Osamu Tezuka, in one of
his most acclaimed works from the fifties. Son Goku, a magical little monkey born from a rock, takes advantage of his extraordinary abilities and behaves like a mischievous and
selfish child. Now out of control, he is imprisoned as punishment by none other than Buddha; he is saved by the monk Sanzohoshi, whom the monkey decides to accompany on his journey
to India. A path that, for young Goku, will prove to be as educational as it is fraught with danger!
