INITIAL D VOL. 20

Takumi Fujiwara, an indolent high schooler with a sleepy demeanor, spends a lot of time behind the wheel. Every morning, he delivers tofu for his father’s shop, navigating the treacherous roads of Mount Akina in his Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. Day after day, without even realizing it, Takumi has absorbed racing techniques that most drivers spend a lifetime learning, yet he has no particular interest in the world of cars. However, his friendship with classmate Itsuki Takeuchi draws him into a passion for illegal street racing, and Takumi finally seems to wake from the lethargy of a gasless life. A new mysterious and phenomenal driver thus bursts onto the local street racing scene: the legend of the "Ghost of Akina" begins, and the racing world will never be the same!
