MONONOGATARI VOL. 16

When a spirit enters the human world, it can possess an old object and take on a human form, becoming known as a tsukumogami. These spirits can be kind or violent, and in the latter case, the Saenome clan helps send them back to avoid disasters. Hyouma is a member of the clan, but he is overwhelmed by an intense hatred for spirits, which puts him at risk of causing supernatural catastrophes while on duty. His grandfather therefore decides to send him to live with Botan, an eccentric woman who lives with tsukumogami... as if they were her family! Will this experience be able to teach Hyouma to control his emotions, or is the boy destined to remain forever a prisoner of his own rage?
