Orange 1

Nao is 16 and has her whole life ahead of her. When she receives a mysterious letter from her future self, she naturally thinks it’s a prank. But as she slowly realizes that every event described in the letter comes true right on schedule, Nao understands that it cannot be a coincidence. The letter comes from the future, and it is a plea from the 26-year-old Nao to her teenage self: save Kakeru! Kakeru is a boy with a melancholic air but an unexpectedly sociable personality who transfers to her class on the very day Nao receives the letter. Ten years from now, Kakeru will be gone, because he will have taken his own life. The future Nao is happily married and a mother to a beautiful child; but both she and her friends are daily overcome with the remorse of not having understood Kakeru enough, of not having done what was necessary to keep him with them. How will the lives and, perhaps, the future of 16-year-old Nao, Kakeru, and their friends change? Despite a very troubled publishing history, the hit manga by Ichigo Takano finally arrives in Italy—one of the most beloved, discussed, and eagerly awaited shojo manga of all time! Delicacy, melancholy, sweetness, profound feelings, and sublime artwork. You really couldn't ask for anything better.
