Author: Leo Colovini In POLIS, you will develop a Greek city-state in the Classical era. The foundational elements are the economy, famous personalities, culture, and military power. Each of these elements corresponds to a specific color of game cards. At the beginning of the game, you will receive several cards, but you will always have to put one up for auction to obtain more money. You can trade with other players, but at the same time, you must be wary of attacks that could destroy your cards. Even if you lose some cards to enemy attacks, you shouldn't worry: your pile of destroyed cards multiplied by your Culture points will represent a nice bonus for your final score! POLIS is a game based on economic, tactical, and organizational skills, where every aspect can be equally important depending on the strategy applied.
