It is 1939. World War II is at the gates. The Polish army has been wiped out with no chance of escape, while the rest of Europe watches helplessly as Warsaw falls. For the first time, the world witnesses the deployment in a conflict of beings gifted with superpowers: Meta-Humans or Prodigies. The ruthless Nazi war machine has, in fact, deployed a handful of these mysterious beings endowed with powers that no weapon seems capable of defeating. The Arischer Sturm (as the first Nazi squad composed entirely of Meta-Humans is called) has given a devastating demonstration of force, showing the entire world the incredible potential dormant in human nature. The leaders of the free nations wonder how to stop such a threat, but every attempt seems to be in vain. Just when all seems lost, the arrival of the Prodigy Aaron Spiegelmann on British shores ignites hope. This brilliant Jewish scientist of Polish origin was, against his will, the keystone for the Nazis' acquisition of the new technology capable of turning a normal man into a superman. Thanks to his prodigious mind, Spiegelmann manages to escape from the concentration camp where he was forced to work under torture, and reach England. Through this mysterious and precious individual, the Allied forces finally manage to create their own Meta-Humans, the only hope against the overwhelming power of the Axis. The only light.
