DISTANT NEIGHBORHOODS - 2023 NEW EDITION

The definitive edition, faithful in every detail to the original, of the masterpiece by the “poet of manga”. At 48 years old, Hiroshi Nakahara finds himself mysteriously catapulted back into his adolescence, in the city where he was born, with the body of a 14-year-old and the mind of an adult. It is an opportunity to relive a crucial period of his life, to investigate the disappearance of his father, and perhaps to change the events of the past that indelibly marked his destiny... Taniguchi narrates the rite of passage from childhood to maturity. A delicate, moving, and poetic graphic novel: the most lyrical and introspective pinnacle of his work. A book that has already entered the Olympus of comic book classics of all time: among many honors, the author received the Gran Guinigi “Master of Comics” at Lucca Comics, the Romics Grand Prize, and was named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France.
