ROOT

Root continues the tradition of asymmetric games from the now-famous Leder Games. This time, you will have the chance to take on the role of one of the animal factions vying for control of a valley with some decidedly unusual inhabitants. Each faction plays differently, both in terms of the actions at their disposal and their method of victory. The Cats, led by their monarch the Marquise de Cat, must attempt to consolidate their rule over the valley, gathering resources and constructing new buildings, employing a management-style gameplay where they must build a series of structures to achieve victory. The Eyrie sends its hawks to try and reclaim the valley, restoring it to the days when they ruled, conquering various territories and building as many roosts as possible to achieve victory. The Alliance, attempting to regain freedom from the oppression of the Cats, plays a long game, throwing a wrench in the works of the other factions to succeed in the final revolt against oppression. Finally, the Vagabonds pursue their own mysterious goals, roaming the board and fighting first one faction, then another. Whoever manages to figure out their true goal holds the key to curbing them before they manage to win! Immerse yourself in this splendid setting to lead one of these four factions to victory!
