SEX WORK IS WORK

This book offers an up-close look at the world of sex work, attempting to debunk myths and prejudices to deconstruct stigma and toxic narratives. Sex work is work, and as such, it must provide protections and rights for the people who perform it. While contemporary society forbids or demonizes it, sex work is extremely widespread, not just in the most well-known form of street prostitution. The debate surrounding this true cultural taboo has always been centered on paternalistic and moralizing controversies, which do nothing but hinder the daily lives of those who do this work. The author advocates for the need for recognition and decriminalization of sex work, the need for rights and protections as workers.
