Where does the idea for a book, a comic, or a story made of paper and ink come from? For Silvia Ziche, ideas are born from observation. By observing people on the street, on the subway, on the train, admiring couples, their harmony or disharmony, and children, with that spontaneity intrinsic to a young and carefree age. In this sketchbook, without the pretense of a common thread, Silvia Ziche offers an original look, her own, at humanity, at what unites each of us. A beauty that perhaps—in a day and age where our gaze remains fixed on screens of various sizes—is the only one worth noticing. And each drawing, on its own, becomes a little story, full of irony, affection, or poetry. Often, all three at once.
