The King's Beast Vol. 5

In a fantasy realm exist creatures called ajin, half-human and half-beast. Ajin are reduced to slavery: the males must join the army, and the females are employed as prostitutes. Those ajin who manifest special abilities are sent to the royal palace as servants and guards for the nobles, and often fall victim to the schemes and intrigues of the court. Sogetsu was one of them, and his twin sister Rangetsu cannot find peace: she decides to pose as a man and become a servant to her brother's former master, Prince Tenyou. In her quest for revenge, Rangetsu will have to navigate treacherous palace plots if she hopes to survive! The new manga by Rei Toma thrusts the reader into a treacherous fantasy world filled with a dense web of political intrigue.
