Ninjas, once a glorious unit within the Japanese army, were disbanded after World War II and have seemed to disappear ever since. In reality, however, they still exist in secret, and it is said that they even number two hundred thousand strong. They walk among us, hiding in plain sight, waiting for orders for their next mission. Some of them, though, never receive any orders! This is the case for Kuro Kumogakure, a young unemployed ninja who neither studies nor looks for other work. After a very long wait, Kuro finally receives a mission from his superiors: it is time to prove that he too is a ninja in every sense of the word!
