WSAMARUS 2001 - COMIC BOOK STORE VARIANT

Wsamarus 2001 is an explosive and unpredictable collection of short works by Furuya Usamaru, a highly acclaimed author known for his stylistic audacity, a penchant for the grotesque, and an ability to blend poetry, humor, and unease. The volume is presented as "software without hardware," a package of files to be installed directly into the reader's brain: visionary illustrations, irreverent parodies, horror stories, school-life episodes, erotic moments, two- and four-panel strips, short narrative tales, and works with a surreal or fairytale tone. The structure of the volume recalls an anthology film: each story belongs to a different genre, yet the author's identity remains unmistakable thanks to his elegant and sharp graphic style, his attention to detail, and his ability to vary tone without losing artistic coherence. The result is a rich, disorienting anthology capable of making the reader laugh, shudder, feel, and marvel.
