In the year marking the 40th anniversary of its big-screen debut, Iron Studios proudly presents its "E.T. - E.T. - MiniCo" statue, a tribute to the fans and the cinematic masterpiece. With his big, expressive blue eyes and a smile full of kindness, the adorable little visitor from another world holds a flowerpot in his left hand—something special to him as an alien botanist—while gesturing with the long fingers of his right hand, using his telepathic abilities to revive the flowers just like in the scene from the film that made him beloved and famous all over the world.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, 1982's "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" was the highest-grossing film
in cinema history for eleven years. The plot features a charismatic, small, and sturdy alien
with short legs, long arms, and a giant head, who receives the nickname E.T. when he befriends a
ten-year-old boy named Elliott. E.T. was part of an expedition of a group of alien botanists, who
secretly visited Earth to collect specimens from a forest in California, but he accidentally ends up
being left behind by his colleagues who flee in their spaceship, being exiled on the planet as a
result. Lost, he is found by Elliott, a boy who discovers him hiding in his tool shed. The two create a
great bond of friendship and Elliott begins to protect him in every possible way, to prevent him
from being captured and turned into a test subject and to help him contact his species and return
to his planet.
