In-store pickup availableFor years, Mr. Meacham, an old woodcarver, has delighted the children of his town by telling stories of a fierce dragon that hides in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. For his daughter Grace, who works as a forest ranger, these stories are nothing more than legends... until she meets Pete. Pete is a mysterious ten-year-old boy with no home or family who claims to live in the forest with a giant green dragon named Elliott. According to Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from her father's tales. With the help of eleven-year-old Natalie, the daughter of Jack, the local sawmill owner, Grace sets out to discover the truth about Pete and his incredible dragon.
