The Lowlands, located on the North Sea coast, are an inhospitable land, constantly threatened by sudden floods. Residents must make the decision to send their workers to build new dikes to protect their lands, or to raise sheep and expand their farms. Without dikes, they could lose everything they own, but without sheep, they have nothing to lose. In Lowlands, each player owns a small farm by the sea. You will need to build dikes to protect your lands from flooding, expand your sheep farm with the help of your workers, and raise sheep to make a living. However, faced with the constant threat of flooding, you must cooperate to expand the dike and may even have to prioritize these tasks over your personal goals, as a flood could have negative consequences for everyone. The goal of the game is to expand your farm and raise sheep. You must also contribute to the improvement and maintenance of the dike, as a flood would affect all players. Therefore, you must accumulate as many victory points as possible. Both raising a good number of sheep and building the dike award points, but the number of points earned will depend on how the game plays out. Will you be able to find the right balance between maximizing the profit of your farm and ensuring the safety of dike construction to prevent devastating coastal flooding? Are you ready to face the storm? And above all, will the dike hold when the final storm hits and the tide rises above sea level? The player who best plans and manages their resources and actions will win!
